He speaks to the heart, not just outward behavior.

1. Jesus condemns lust as a heart-level sin

“Whoever looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

— Matthew 5:28

Jesus doesn’t excuse men because “they can’t help it.”

He raises the standard: self-control starts in your eyes, mind, and heart.

2. Jesus teaches radical responsibility over impulses

“If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away…

It is better to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.”

— Matthew 5:29

This is not literal mutilation—

He’s saying: take extreme measures to control yourself.

Don’t blame the world, women, or temptation—discipline yourself.

3. Jesus rejects blaming women for male temptation

The culture then often blamed women for “causing” sin.

Jesus flips the script: the sin is in the man’s heart, not in a woman’s body or clothing.

This is why you NEVER see Jesus:

• telling women to cover themselves

so men won’t lust,

• excusing men’s aggression,

• allowing abuse or dominance

over women.

He holds men accountable for their thoughts and actions.

4. Jesus teaches self-control as a fruit of spiritual maturity

He says:

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”

— Matthew 5:8

Purity is not merely sexual—it’s integrity.

A man is blessed when he chooses holiness, not when he is “ruled by urges.”

5. Jesus says power, anger, and domination lead to judgment

“Everyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment.”

— Matthew 5:22

Loss of emotional control isn’t excused.

It is sin that will be judged.

Men don’t get a pass because they are “wired different.”

Jesus expects self-mastery, humility, and repentance.

6. Jesus honors women and protects them

He stops the stoning of a woman caught in adultery, but He tells the accusers:

“Let the one without sin cast the first stone.”

— John 8:7

Notice:

• He confronts the male mob.

• He protects the woman.

• He calls everyone to obey God.

He never shames her body or makes her responsible for men’s behavior.

🔥 The Core of Jesus’ Teaching

A man cannot follow Jesus and be controlled by lust, violence, or entitlement.

He must control himself—internally, spiritually, emotionally, sexually.

Self-control is not a suggestion;

it is the mark of a disciple.

I will today and everyday follow the man that defends me and stands up for me! Everyday all day! #Jesus #RealTalk #ReadTheBible #selfcontrolmatters
