Ingredients
Ingredients
½ cup cold grass-fed butter (cut into small cubes)
½–⅔ cup cold milk (whole milk or buttermilk preferred)
1 tsp raw honey or maple syrup (optional, for subtle sweetness)
¼ tsp sea salt (optional, if you like a more savory roll)
For brushing
2 Tbsp melted butter
Optional sprinkle: flaky sea salt or garlic powder
Preparation
Instructions
1. Make the dough
In a mixing bowl, add the pie & pastry mix.
Cut in the cold butter using a fork or pastry cutter until pea-sized crumbs form.
Stir in milk a little at a time until a soft dough forms (do not overmix).
2. Roll & shape
Lightly flour a surface.
Roll dough into a 10–12 inch circle, about ¼-inch thick.
Cut into 8–12 wedges like a pizza.
Roll each wedge from the wide end toward the point to form a crescent.
3. Bake
Place crescents on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Brush lightly with melted butter.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, until golden.
4. Finish
Brush again with butter while warm.
Add a pinch of flaky salt if desired.
